Two Female Umpires Earn MiLB Umpire School Scholarships
Starting off 2016 on a great note: MLB Umpire Camps awarded two female umpires scholarships to umpire school. While a few women have attended umpire school and even umpired in the minors, this is the first time scholarships have ever been awarded to women to attend professional school. Jen Pawol (New York), a USA Baseball WNT alum, and Annie Monachello (Missouri) will be attending the Minor League Baseball Umpire Training Academy in January.
